I have had an interest in high heeled shoes since about the age of 10 or 12 years. I used to admire them in the SEARS, WARDS, and PENNYS catalogues--along with bras and pierced ears. I have very high arches and the curve of the shoe footbed perfectly matched the arch of my feet. I like that feeling, the shoe touching the full length the sole of my feet. Only high heeled shoes do that. I also like the sides and top of my feet as uncovered as possible. So it's sandals for me.
I didn't feel free enough to wear them around people, but my apartment was too small to do much walking, so I'd take the shoes in my car to work, then on the way home, I'd stop at a park that had very few people, and I'd put the shoes on and go for walks around the park. I was seen a couple of times but I just didn't look at the people and hurried back to my car.
I have never had even the tinyest bit of trouble walking in them. On television and movies, men are nearly always portrayed as stumbling, bumbling idiots when wearing heels. To me they've never been any harder to walk in than
